The women profiled in the Through Her Eyes project are proving how important it is to include sports in their lives. Some women have gained self-confidence, others have taken on more challenges, many have become more involved in their communities and almost all of the women expressed feeling inspired to do more than what they had ever imagined they could do.  In Ecuador, where the norms of machismo sometimes limit the number of women on the field, many women who are getting into the game are proving how important it is to break social norms.  These are the women who will influence more women to get out on to the fields and play. And these are the women that are becoming leaders in their communities and countries.
